Mid Century Teak Dining/kitchen table and chairs by A. Younger of England from the Fonseca range

The epitome of mid century chic, they really don’t make furniture like this anymore!

Solid, sturdy and stylish, inherently practical but entirely easy on the eye!

The table is teak and made by A. Younger of England from the Fonseca range, it’s a solid fixed table top and legs and not removable. 

The chairs are also made by A. Younger of England and I believe they are teak. in a very similar style to J.L.Moller models 75 and the English versions by Dalescraft

A beautifully designed & crafted 'Fonseca' dining table designed by John Herbert for Younger. Designed as part of their award winning 'Fonseca' range this table was produced in relatively low numbers, ideal to host all your post lockdown dinner parties (as it inevitably has over the decades) or perhaps an area to work at that can be reduced down when not required?

It’s a great set and priced to sell with the work required to bring it back to its full potential, the table alone has been known to sell for more than £2500 when restored. 

However you choose to utilise its function it’s sure to steal a little piece of your heart as it has for us!

The table would benefit being sanded and re-varnished or oiled depending on preference. the chairs could do with either a deep clean of the fabric or recovering, however you can use it as it is and not be dispaointed. One chair has been repaired but is solid see pictures. I am happy to recover and repair the chair for a small charge however this would reduce delivery times for the work to take place and to get the space in my workshop. 

As with everyone of our treasures there are always signs of age related wear and tear to be expected with the stories that each second hand piece has to tell.
